We decided we wanted to go to White Sands National Park on our way home. It is one national park we have not been to. To get there we had to veer off of I-10 to Alamogordo. We cut northwest through the rolling hills and low trees of Texas. It was a full day of driving with no state parks near our route. We made it to Artesia, New Mexico and stayed in a private RV park that I thought charged way too much for its offering!
